I was more referring to just the disparity between those types of game development. As someone fairly new to the industry, it amazes me that there's any similarity between mobile game development (short production cycles, unpredictable and numerous platforms) and console game development (targeted platform, and a "it'll be done when it's done" philosophy). The fact that that experience is transferable at all just astounds me. But I guess I have a lot to learn, huh?

"What’s still amazing to me is that he spent years in mobile game development, and yet was able to make a quick and easy transition over to production lead on a major console and computer title."

Yeah, it's basically luck and knowing people. That's why I always say that *any* industry experience is good experience.
