While you’re certainly not required to use our official accommodation arrangements for your stay around the wedding, we wanted to provide you with the following options:
Option 1: Omni San Francisco Hotel
We are holding a block of 20 air-conditioned rooms at The Omni San Francisco Hotel for the nights of Friday June 19, Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21, 2009.
This deluxe hotel is located at 500 California Street (at Montgomery), a short walk to Union Square, on the cable car line.
Special wedding group rate is $169 plus tax per night per room (NEW LOWER PRICE!) for either king bed or two double beds.
Guests may make reservations by calling 1-800-THE-OMNI and referring to “the Ruberg/Siegel Wedding Block” or calling the hotel directly at 415-677-9494 before May 20. A first night’s deposit by check or credit card will be required at time of booking.
Parking is available for an additional $48 plus tax per overnight.

Option 2: Warwick San Francisco Hotel
Another hotel choice just a few blocks from Union Square is the historic Warwick San Francisco Hotel at 490 Geary Street.
Built in 1913, restored in 2002, the hotel is furnished with antiques and modern amenities. Ceiling fans (no air-conditioning, but the windows open).
We are holding some twin bed rooms and some queen bed rooms at a special wedding group rate of $139 plus tax per night per room for the nights of Friday June 19, Saturday June 20, and Sunday June 21, 2009.
Update: As of April 17, the special block of rooms are no longer being held. However, the Warwick is willing to still allow for guests to use the wedding group rate of $139 plus tax per night per room, subject to the availability of the rooms. If you have not yet booked at the Warwick, we strongly recommend doing so as early as possible.
Guests may make reservations by calling Agnetha Martensson at 415-345-2307 or Kristen Bowman at 415-345-2306 between the hours of 8am and 5pm PST and referring to the Globe Travel block for the Ruberg-Siegel Wedding. A credit card will be required at the time of booking. This block of rooms will only be available for booking until April 17. (After that time special arrangements may still be possible.)

Option 3: Chateau Tivoli
Chateau Tivoli (that’s the Victorian B&B where we’re holding the wedding reception) also has a number of lovely rooms with a lot of individual character. They rang from $100 to $250 a night and can hold two to four people. Check out their website for information.
